I had climbing Bluff Knoll on my bucket list for quite some time. It is listed as one of the 25 best hikes in Australia and at 1099 metres, is the highest peak in this part of Oz. We had been staying near The Stirling Ranges for over a month and finally the weather gods smiled down on me and I had my window of opportunity. The climb is around 6 kms return and with frequent photo stops along the way, it took me around five hours to complete. I was in no hurry, and was intent on making the most of the experience. I was not disappointed. It was worth the wait, especially as there were still lots of lovely wildflowers in bloom.
